UCA

So a few weeks ago my good friend Sharon was in town, and her family invited us to go to the UCA game and go to the alumni tailgate with them. As a UCA alum, I have never come back to go to a game or tailgate, so i thought this would be fun to see what my old stomping grounds were up to! Come to find out A LOT has changed at UCA!  New mascot (well they added a girl bear), New buildings and even a New STRIPED FIELD! (J thinks this is hideous, but i actually kind of like it!)

Me and Sharon!

My Cutie!
We had such a good time we decided to do it again! We called up our favorite razorback tailgating buddies KC and Patrick and made it all happen.

Patrick & KC

The kids had soo much fun running around and playing on the practice field! And the weather was awesome! We even ran into a few local celebrities!

Go UCA!

Look it's Sugar Bear!

Check out the new striped field. They even have shirts that say 'FEAR THE STRIPE!'

All is all it was a FUN filled weekend! I love my old Alma Mater!!!

A Night out with C

Last Friday night, Disney Live - 3 Classic Fairy Tales, visited Verizon Arena. I was so excited to take Carson to see the show! After our Disney World trip back in February (which ya'll probably don't know about due to my lack of blogging) Carson has fallen in LOVE with Minnie Mouse and Snow White!  When I told her the day before the show, that just me, Jason and her were going to see the princesses, she asked if we were flying back to Disney World to see them!

With it being pretty much a princess centered show, we figured Pierson would want to sit this one out. I can not tell you how much we enjoyed having just Carson. With Pierson around, she is usually super quiet and P never really gives her a chance to speak. But Friday night, all 'ears' were on her! She was sooo talkative, and funny and expressive! J actually said, 'Man, it's like we have a totally different kid, when she actually gets a chance to talk!' Added bonus: Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy were there narrating the story! So she got to see her favorite mouse too!

A pre-show pose with daddy!

All the popcorn I want!

Gotta get mamma in on a picture!
Mickey and the gang came out to introduce narrate the stories!

The Queen....Way Scary!

The whole cast coming out in their fancy outfits!
It can't be over yet!

Football

It's football time! No,I'm not talking about the razorbacks! I'm talking Pee Wee Football BA-BY! Actually it's called flag football, but i think Pee Wee is more fun to say!  Pierson got drafted by the Cowboys and this team has a few return members. I know you are probably thinking, "Did she just say drafted?" Yes! These kids aren't just thrown on team. They have evaluations the coaches have a feeling who is good at what, and teams are divvy'd up evenly. Word on the street is the cowboys are no joke! They are GOOD! Bad thing is...well this is P's first year at football, so he's not as good as the return members. And these people are serious! Jason has been working with him on his skills, so hopefully he's not too far behind the other boys.  Here are some pictures of the Cowboys in action. They look like little Bobbleheads to me!

Water break! Gotta stay hydrated!

Penmanship Class

So a year has gone by, since Carson's first day of school. She is now in K3 at her school and they are learning to write! Her teacher has this great technique she does with the kids where she prints out a tracing sheet with their name on it, and puts it in a plastic binder page and lets them trace their letters with a dry erase marker.
1st attempt
Look what I did!!

Last attempt! SOO proud!!

These little things make me as a mom sooo proud of her! I love her persistence to keep trying and improving! This is basically what brings me back to blogging! I NEED to keep up with this stuff! I mean this is their legacy right!!?  Remind me that when i start slacking off again ok?

I'm Back!!!

I can't believe I've been MIA for over a year now!  I guess I can start where we left off. That's right, I'm talking NKOTB! They CAME. WE SAW! You heard correct!! WE as in Jason and I!! Yup my best friend, husband and P.I.C. (partner in crime) went with me to the concert! A group of 5 of us girls had planned on going together, but 2 of my friends ended up upgrading their tickets to VIP so they were selling their tix. I persuaded Jason into going with me and it could be like a getaway for us to Tulsa. After a little asian persuasion, he decided to go and is now a NKOTB fan himself! It was A-Maaziing!

First off, we got 4th row seats. I have never...EVER...ever sat this close at a concert. Just going to the concert in itself was a childhood dream of mine and now I'm sitting SOOO close, I mean literally i could throw my panties and would hit them in the head if i wanted to! I didn't because a) I'm past that point in my life and b) how awkward would that be with jason next to me! ha!

So basically it was a Backstreet Boys (BSB)/NKOTB concert. They came out singing together and then they would take turns singing a couple of songs, nkotb then bsb and so on and so on. It was super high energy and both groups sang all of their classic songs. I literally felt like i was a teenager again singing and screaming the whole time! Most.fun.ever! In my mind it was sooo exciting and sooo much to say that i can't even describe it. Seriously I wanted to just jump in the car and follow them to their next venue and just be a groupie from here on out! Obviously, voice of reason (Jason) reminded me i had 2 babies in Fort Smith i had to get back to, so back to real life I go! Here are some pictures from the night! They are in no particular order out of pure laziness, and they don't do it justice, but at least now i can check that off the bucket list!:)

 BSB/NKOTB final bow

BSB picked random girls out of the audience to sing to...notice the hand in the corner with her phone recording it..that would so be me!

JOEY!

MORE JOEY!

Donnie!

Jordan came off stage and sang to the people sitting behind us

NKOTB

Howie from BSB was literally 2 people away from me. I could touch him if i wanted to!

Jordan!

Wow look at that emotion i caught! I should be a photographer! NOT!

This is the finale! I sure would love to be in the middle of that sandwich! LOL!!
